Abigail Paules is an attorney who has spent her legal career being a zealous advocate for her clients and defending their rights under the Constitution.

Abigail received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University where she majored in history and political science. She received her law degree from William and Mary Law School.

She began her legal career at the Office of the Public Defender for the City of Richmond. She spent almost six years at the Richmond Public Defender's Office, earning the title of Senior Assistant Public Defender. She spent her time at the public defender's office representing indigent clients charged with all types of crimes. As a Senior Assistant Public Defender in Richmond, Abigail handled close to two thousand cases, including all types of misdemeanors and felonies, such as first degree murder, armed robbery, felonious assault, and nearly everything in between. She has tried numerous cases, both bench and jury trials, argued complex motions, and had contested sentencings in general district court, juvenile and domestic relations court, and circuit court.

She handles all types of criminal cases in numerous jurisdictions throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Abigail is a firm proponent of the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution; and she believes in the right to the effective assistance of counsel, no matter one's income or background.
